Administrative Utility Disconnect Policy

In the past, the City has followed an unwritten policy on how utility disconnections are handled. We have decided to formally provide one in writing so that everything is clear moving forward. It can be found at the link below.

Please read this policy in detail. The major change is staff will be following the City Council ordinance more precisely. Delinquent bills not paid by 5 p.m. on the 20th will be subject to the $50 deposit and $10 admin fee regardless of when they pay their bill after that time. Customers will also be subject to the $35 reconnect fee if payment is not made before the list is processed and handed to City staff for disconnections.
